Woodland Mansion

A gigantic new natural structure! The Woodland Mansion rarely generates in Dark Forest biomes, and is easiest to find using a Treasure Map, which you can buy from a Cartographer Villager. Inside, players can encounter new hostile mobs:

• Evokers
• Vindicators
• Vexes

Vindicator

Vindicators are one of the main hostile mobs in the Woodland Mansion. They wield an axe and don’t have any special abilities, but can join Raids. Sometimes they drop an iron axe or an emerald.

Evoker

One of the most dangerous mobs! Evokers use magic to summon Vexes and Fangs. They also appear in Raids. The best way to fight them is with a bow and arrows.

Vex

Small but dangerous mobs that attack in groups. Vexes are summoned by Evokers’ magic. They can fly through any blocks, making them even more dangerous.

Totem of Undying

This item can literally save your life. It drops as a reward for defeating an Evoker. If you’re holding a Totem of Undying when you would die, it gives you a second chance—plus the “Regeneration II” effect for 40 seconds and “Absorption II” for 4 seconds.

Glazed Terracotta

A new decorative terracotta block with unique patterns! There are 16 different patterns available. To craft one, smelt colored terracotta (dyed clay). Perfect for creative builds and decorations.

Shulker Box

A new block that has 27 inventory slots, letting you store a lot of items. Crafted from two Shulker Shells and a chest, and can be dyed any color.

When you break a Shulker Box, it keeps all its contents, so you can move it with your items inside.

Llama

A new neutral mob! You can equip a llama with a chest to carry your items. They spawn in the Savanna biome and can be tamed, but not ridden.

You can attach a lead to a llama, and all nearby llamas will follow you. You can also decorate llamas with carpets.

Frost Walker

A new enchantment that lets you walk on water. When wearing boots with this enchantment, the water beneath your feet freezes as you walk.

Changes

This update brings tons of changes that make the game even better. Here are the most important ones:

• White beds now generate in igloos
• Updated wool textures
• Updated carpet textures
• Beds can now be dyed
• Undyed terracotta is now just called “Terracotta”
• Colored terracotta is now called “<color> Terracotta”
• Cave spider poison duration now depends on difficulty
• Improved lead physics
• New sleeping animation
• World screenshots now appear in the main menu
• The eating animation now shows in third person
