Minecraft PE 1.18.30.26

A new beta version Minecraft 1.18.30.26 and Minecraft Preview 1.18.30.27 has been released. This update includes bug fixes and introduces the Copper Goat Horn.

Known Issues

• Older worlds that haven't been loaded in version 1.18 or higher may have issues with generating unexplored chunks below Y=0. It is recommended to back up your worlds and avoid loading pre-1.18 worlds in this beta.

Copper Goat Horn

The developers continue improving horn functionality, and this version introduces the Copper Horn.

• Crafted from three copper ingots and a goat horn
• Crouch, look up, or perform another action to play one of three sounds
• New unique sounds added for copper horns

Goat Horn

• New sounds added for the goat horn
• Special sounds for screaming goats added
• Always drops when a goat with at least one horn rams blocks like stone, packed ice, iron ore, copper ore, emerald ore, or any Overworld wood
• Can be turned into a copper horn
• Goats may rarely spawn with only one horn (baby goats always have two)

Pillager Outpost

• Goat horns and copper horns have been added as loot in Pillager Outposts

Changes

• The “Experiments” tab is now available when using the new world creation screen
• When using the new touch control scheme on mobile, joystick size can now be adjusted via the “Button Size” slider
• Improved contrast for some UI elements

Vanilla Parity

This update brings more features in line with Minecraft: Java Edition.

• Nether bricks, iron and gold nuggets, red and brown mushroom blocks, and chorus blocks/flowers can no longer be used as furnace fuel
• The camera now shakes the same way as in Java Edition when the player takes damage

Technical Changes

The following changes mostly affect add-on creators and have little impact on regular players.

• Fixed an issue with the Knockback component
• Added a limit of 64 to the crafting_tagsfield component in CraftingTableComponent
• Fixed a crash that occurred when loading entities prior to version 1.18.30
• Added leverActivate event to the GameTest Framework that triggers when a lever is activated
• Added an optional showParticles: bool = true argument to the addEffect function in the GameTest Framework

Bug Fixes

• Fixed an issue where the hunger bar would not decrease on some Marketplace maps
• Fixed an issue where the “Bad Omen” effect was not applied after killing a pillager captain
• Mob hurt and death sounds no longer overlap
• Fixed an issue where large mobs on some Marketplace maps could get stuck in blocks
