Minecraft PE 0.14.0 Beta 1

The release of the new beta Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.14.0 Build 1 is just around the corner, and we’ve got the official changelog ready for you! Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.14.0 Build 1 may have some bugs, but the developers will be fixing them in future builds.

This update lets you use even more redstone devices to help you out in all kinds of ways—whether you’re surviving, building creative maps, or anything else!

New Features:

• Cauldrons
• New achievements
• Maps
• Hoppers
• Dispensers and droppers
• Item frames (still a bit buggy!)
• Slime blocks
• Survival inventory now available in Creative
• Witch
• Redstone repeaters and comparators
• Red sand and all related blocks
• Ender pearls
• Pumpkins and mob heads can now be worn
• Double trapped chests

Tweaks:

• Cleaned up a lot of textures
• New Pocket Edition menu screen
• Baby zombies can now ride various mobs (like adult ocelots, wolves, cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, spiders, and zombies), with a 15% chance of mounting them
• Screenshots are now saved as .png files
• Ghasts’, blazes’, and magma cubes’ eyes are now bright
• Fixed iOS and Android build issues
• Fixed door textures
• Fixed the UI scale slider
• Improved slime spawning

Other Fixes:

• Rain appears in caves
• All types of clay show as gray blocks on the map
• Villagers and passive mobs don’t spawn
• Double fences don’t block players
• Wolves don’t have colored collars
• Sneak mode turns off when you open the Pause Menu
• Ghast’s fireball shooting texture isn’t animated
• Huge mushrooms don’t generate everywhere
• Player can’t close the chest window
• Crash when a player is kicked for being idle
• Beetroot soup can be stacked
• Minecarts can’t be stacked
• Iron golems take damage when walking on soul sand
