How to Make Netherite Armor and Tools?
Netherite was added to Minecraft: Java Edition 1.16 and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.16, and it is a rare resource from the Nether. Armor and tools made from it are far more effective than diamond and cannot burn in fire or lava, which is very useful!
In this guide, we'll describe the process of crafting Netherite armor and tools from the most valuable resource in the game.
First, you will need Ancient Debris, which can be found in the Nether. Keep the following in mind:
- Per chunk (16x16x256 blocks, totaling 65,536 blocks), only up to two veins of Ancient Debris generate, and each vein can contain 1 to 3 ores.
- One vein generates at Y-levels 8 to 22, and the second vein generates at Y-levels 8 to 119.
- To mine Ancient Debris, you need a diamond pickaxe or better.
- Do not try to mine Ancient Debris with tools worse than a diamond pickaxe, otherwise the ore will drop nothing.
After mining Ancient Debris, you can smelt them in a furnace to get Netherite Scrap.
Now it's time to craft Netherite Ingots!
Use a crafting table and place on the grid, as shown in the screenshot below, four gold ingots and four Netherite scraps.
With nine Netherite ingots, you can craft a block of Netherite, which is similar to obsidian but can be used with pistons.
Netherite blocks are very durable and have high blast resistance.

You can craft a smithing table from any planks and two iron ingots.
