Minecraft Beta 1.16.0.51 — What's New?
The developers have released the long-awaited "Nether Update" for Minecraft Bedrock version 1.16, adding a ton of new content to the game!
Biomes
Now biomes are not only in the Overworld but also in the Nether!
New Fog in the Nether
Smooth color transitions let you immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the new game update.
Warped Forest
Dark blue fog envelops the warped forest, but what are Endermen doing here?
Crimson Forest
In this biome you can find hoglins and piglins, be careful!
Soul Sand Valley
New Blocks
- New wood types added — crimson and warped
- Basalt blocks
- Crimson nylium and warped nylium
- Nether sprouts, crimson roots, and warped roots
- Fungi
- Soul soil
Target Block
If a projectile (arrow, snowball) hits the target block, it activates redstone. Useful for mechanisms!
Only available in Experimental Gameplay!
Piglins
Piglins are crazy about gold! Without gold armor, they will attack you, and if you try to open a chest near them, even armor won't save you.
Throw a gold ingot to a Piglin to get some resource from it. They also love to hunt Hoglins!
Hoglins
These huge pig-like creatures live in crimson forests and are very aggressive, but they are the first source of food in the Nether!
Feed two hoglins crimson fungi to make them breed, but remember, it's extremely dangerous!
Zombified Piglins
Zombie pigmen have been reworked and are now called "Zombified Piglins"!
Netherite
Netherite is a new valuable resource that allows you to upgrade diamond tools and armor to netherite!
Netherite Effects
- Netherite items do not burn in lava!
- Netherite tools are faster and more durable than diamond
- Netherite weapons deal more damage than diamond
- Netherite armor has higher durability than diamond
- Netherite armor gives the player knockback resistance
- Netherite blocks can be used as beacon bases, and netherite ingots as beacon fuel
