Minecraft Beta 1.12.0.9 - What's New?

The fifth beta version of Minecraft Bedrock 1.12 has been released, in which the developers have again fixed a number of various game bugs and improved overall stability.

For map makers and Add-on creators

• Updated documentation generation for using scriptHotbarContainerComponent
• Removing a timer component and adding a new one should no longer cause the new timer to get the old timer's value

Bug fixes

• Crashes and performance
  • Fixed a crash on Nintendo Switch that could occur during saving or loading the game
  • Fixed an issue where the in-game marketplace would cause a freeze or crash
  • Improved performance when opening inventory screens
  • Fixed a potential crash when signing into Xbox Live
  • Fixed a potential crash when breaking a bell
  • Fixed an issue where the game would freeze
  • Improved performance around villages and villager workstations
  • Fixed a crash when changing skins
• General
  • The search screen in the marketplace now displays correct pack icons
  • Fixed an issue where discounted items in the marketplace did not show the discount percentage
  • Restored some missing screenshots in the marketplace
  • Fixed an issue with skin loading after restarting the game
  • Fixed issues with inviting players
• Gameplay
  • Fixed an issue that prevented players from feeding animals hay bales to breed them
  • Fixed the respawn point after player death
  • Players can now successfully respawn without having to rejoin the game
• Mobs
  • Iron golems now sway again when walking
  • Improved security so that Notch can no longer steal player data
• Graphics
  • Fixed the sitting model for cats
  • Enchanted armor and bows now display with a shimmering texture again
• UI
  • Fixed a controller navigation issue in the marketplace
  • Fixed an issue with clearing the crafting grid when using a gamepad
• Add-Ons and Script Engine
  • Fixed an issue where custom blocks could not be successfully registered
  • Fixed an issue with custom items and blocks not requiring a namespace for chat commands
