Minecraft Beta 1.6.0.1 - What's New?

Although the developers said that phantoms would not be in the "Update Aquatic" for Minecraft Bedrock, it seems they changed their minds. This beta version of Minecraft Bedrock (PE) brings Phantoms and Barrier Blocks to the game!

New Features:

• Phantoms!
• Spawn at night if the player hasn't slept for three days
• Barrier Blocks
• Great for map makers to restrict players to certain areas of the world
• Can be placed in Creative mode and are invisible in Survival and Adventure modes
• Can only be obtained via commands and do not appear in the Creative inventory

Changes:

• Keyboard buttons can now be used to open inventory and switch tabs (can be remapped in game settings)
• Pages in a book and quill can now be flipped using a gamepad

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed several crashes that occurred during gameplay
• Improved performance in the game menu
• Water now correctly flows off ladders if there is a water source on them
• Fixed a bug where obtained items would disappear after trading a renamed item with villagers
• Maps now update correctly again when held in the main hand
• Redstone mechanisms now turn on correctly if a power source is placed using the "/setblock" command
• Gamepad cursor can now be used to navigate villager trades
• Donkeys and mules can now only be ridden after taming
• Fixed strays and skeletons that could not leave water to attack the player

Barrier blocks can only be obtained via command. For this, cheats must be enabled in the world, then enter the command /give @s barrier_block.
