Minecraft PE 1.2 Development Report
More than two months have passed since the release of the first test version of Minecraft 1.2 for Android and Windows 10. Developers are still collecting all the information from players to improve the new version of the game.
Millions of beta testers on Android, Xbox One, and Windows 10 are helping developers find bugs, and so far over 3,000 various bugs (from minor to truly major) have been fixed - a truly huge number!
And as many have noticed, new builds are being released less frequently, which means that the new version "Together is Better", i.e. Minecraft 1.2, is approaching its full release! Below you can check out a small list of changes and changes that will appear in future versions of the game!

Gameplay
- A huge number of players asked to add coordinates to the game. This feature is now available in Minecraft 1.2, but it disables achievements, thus adding balance.
- Many people like the classic interface, but the recipe book ruins it. So now you can turn it off!
- It often happens that you need to make a copy of a world, but don't worry, in the "Together is Better" update this feature is now present!
Redstone
Redstone mechanisms will have some differences for players who play on consoles (Xbox One and Nintendo Switch). Transferring their full functionality to the updated version of Minecraft 1.2 for cross-platform play with Android and Windows 10 is truly impossible, so you will have to fix the mechanisms yourself after converting the world.
Movement
- Flight mode in Creative mode now matches the old console versions, and many complained about the slow flight speed, so now the developers have increased it! Additionally, you will fly even when you are on the ground!
- Many asked for the ability to bind sprint to a different button (for gamepads), so now you can do that!

What else are the developers working on?
There are many other cool ideas that would be nice to add to the game, but due to lack of time and resources, all of this will be added in future versions:
- Customizable superflat worlds will be coming soon!
- Many players complain that the block placement speed in the game does not allow a player moving at a constant speed to place a continuous line of blocks in any direction. And this is really bad for avid builders. But in one of the patches after the release of the Minecraft 1.2 update, this bug will be fixed!
- Sometimes you need to quickly clear items from the hotbar (bottom bar) in Creative mode, but how? Don't worry, the developers are working on it!
- The in-game content store is really cool, because it has a lot of interesting stuff from people who put their whole soul into creating new materials. In the near future, you will be able to not only rate content but also leave comments!
- Custom skins are one of the features of Minecraft, but for now this feature is missing on consoles. The developers are working on it and it will be available very soon!
This is not the entire list, as the gaming community constantly publishes its ideas. If you have any interesting thoughts, you can share them on the special Minecraft Feedback page.
And more good news. The release of the 1.2 update will come out next week!
