Guide: Music Player
With the release of the Minecraft 1.2 update, many people started complaining that music players and discs don't work in the game. Actually, they do work, but the game simply doesn't have the music files, and you need to download them separately!
It's easy to do. Just go to the in-game store and download the music pack:
Also, on our website there is a pack with full music and one with just discs. You can download it here, and it installs like any other Minecraft texture pack.
Why didn't the developers include the music in the game itself? The thing is, the full music pack weighs 95MB, while the game itself is about 66MB! And the disc music files are about 20MB. This would make the game much larger on mobile devices, which many people wouldn't like.
