How to Find a Woodland Mansion in Minecraft PE?

In the Minecraft Pocket Edition 1.1 update, a new structure was added - the Woodland Mansion, which many players try to find just by flying around the world. But I'll tell you right away, finding it that way is simply unrealistic. That's why we prepared this guide to help you find a woodland mansion in Minecraft PE.

How to Find a Woodland Mansion?

You can do this in two ways - using a command in chat or a special treasure map.

Finding a mansion using a chat command is the easiest. First, you need to enter the command /locate mansion, after which you will get the coordinates of the nearest mansion.

I don't know if it's a bug or a feature, but MCPE somehow doesn't display the Y coordinate (height). So I recommend entering it in the range of 80 to 120 and only do this in Creative mode!

Then you need to enter these coordinates into the teleport command (/tp x y z). In my case, I entered: /tp -14840 100 3208.

The other method is to buy a special treasure map from a cartographer villager.

Finding a cartographer villager is no easy task. He looks like a librarian villager, but only the cartographer sells the Woodland Explorer Map in Minecraft.

If you do manage to find him, don't forget to bring emeralds and some other items to purchase the map.

Buy all the items (as shown in the screenshots below). This is necessary to increase the villager's trust level, and once you reach the maximum level, he will allow you to buy the Woodland Explorer Map.

Don't confuse this map with the Ocean Explorer Map. They differ in color: the map with the mansion is brown, while the one with the ocean monument is blue.

If you have nerves of steel and are ready for a long journey, stock up well on food, blocks, and tools before your trip.

It's very easy to get lost with the map, and only practice will help you understand how the cardinal directions work and how to find structures.

How to Use the Map?

You just need to remember a few things that will help you determine the cardinal directions in Minecraft PE.

The simplest is that the Sun and Moon always rise in the east and set in the west (as in real life), and sunflowers always tilt only to the east (toward the Sun).

Now take the map in your hand and turn to face north, then determine which direction you need to go next.

The map will automatically fill in if you are near the Woodland Mansion.
