Quarantine and Minecraft
The coronavirus is spreading across the globe, and many countries are imposing quarantines to prevent the spread of the virus. But what can you do in Minecraft while waiting for things to get better?
In this article, we'll talk about what you can do in Minecraft Bedrock and beyond!
Minecraft Bedrock Partner Servers
In Minecraft Bedrock Edition, there are five official partner servers available.

For example, on the The Hive server, there's a great Hide and Seek mode where players are split into hiders and hunters — hiders need to quickly find spots where hunters can't find them.

There are many other fun modes, and each partner server has its own unique features. Try them out with your friends!
Free Content on the Minecraft Marketplace!
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Microsoft and Mojang have made 13 free Education materials available, which you can get for free until June 30, 2020!

Among the free content is a map where players can learn about sea and ocean creatures.

There's also an amazing map of Ancient Greece, featuring many stunning locations. The creators invite players to dive into the world of Greek mythology — weapons of the Gods, Hades, Olympus, and much more!

We suggest you explore the other maps yourself — there's a lot of interesting stuff!
And on our portal, you can find many add-ons for the game, such as resource packs, mods, and maps!
For example, if you want to play mini-games with friends, we recommend the Mini Games map, which features 10 fun mini-games!

Want more decoration and love flowers? Then try the Flora Mod, which adds many new flowers and decorative blocks to the game!

Visit our portal often — we have lots of interesting stuff!
Have you unlocked all the achievements in Minecraft? If not, maybe it's worth trying to complete the remaining ones? Be sure to share your achievements in the comments!

Besides Minecraft and other games, there are many activities you can do in the coming weeks. For example:
- Watching movies and TV series
- Reading books and popular science articles
- Learning languages
- Learning programming
- And much more!
Let's go through the list!
The Dollars Trilogy
The trilogy includes the following films: "A Fistful of Dollars" (1964), "For a Few Dollars More" (1965), and "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" (1966).
If you haven't seen these works yet and love the Western genre, we definitely recommend watching them!

Solaris
"Solaris" is a science fiction novel by writer Stanislaw Lem, set on the fictional planet "Solaris," where humans discover a sentient ocean and try to make contact with it.
There are also film adaptations of this book — a Russian one (1972) and an American one (2002). Although the plots of both films differ from the original, they are both interesting to watch!

Learning something new is a complex thing, and each person absorbs information differently, but self-development is what shapes a person's future!
Among programming languages, the following are currently popular:
- JS
- Python
- GoLang
- Java
- Kotlin
- C#
- C++
If you want to get into game development, consider C++ and C#. For web development, any language works, but the most popular are JS, Python, and PHP.
Want to try 3D modeling? There's great software called Blender, which is completely free to use and has a huge community and tutorials!

To start learning Blender, there's an excellent tutorial series on making "donuts," though it's in English. But these tutorials will help you dive into the world of 3D graphics development.
Try to learn new things gradually, rather than jumping into complex topics right away.
Also, remember the 80/20 principle: 20% of efforts bring 80% of results, while the remaining 80% only bring 20%.
And most importantly, don't forget the five recommendations during quarantine:
- Wash your hands frequently
- Cover your mouth when coughing
- Don't touch your face
- Keep your distance
- Stay home if possible
What movies and TV series are you watching now? What are you reading, playing, or learning? Write in the comments!
