Gold Ore Could Become Exclusive to the Nether!
The development of "Nether Update" is not yet complete, and developers continue to think about what things should be changed in the next update.
For example, developers are still considering adding a fourth biome to the update, or adding new blocks and items.
But while they ponder this, one player has proposed a more interesting change for the update:
Controversial idea:
Remove gold ore COMPLETELY from the Overworld (except mesa/badlands biome), making it "exclusive" to the Nether.
I can't think of a reason why gold should appear in the Overworld.
Arguments:
- Increases the usefulness of the Nether.
- Fully belongs to the Nether.
- Gold is not part of player progression.
- Gold is too easy to get early game.
- Makes enchanted apples and items more valuable.

Jens Bergensten, lead developer of Minecraft, supported this idea but still thinks gold ore should remain in the Overworld.
What do you think?
