Official Minecraft Shaders Won't Be Released This Year!
Last year (in 2017), Mojang and Microsoft announced the "Super Duper Graphics Pack" for Minecraft, which would work on all platforms (Windows 10, Android, iOS, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch). But what features will it bring, how much will it cost, and why is there still no release information?

Microsoft noted that the graphics pack is optional for gameplay. The free update will support 4K resolution and HDR for Xbox One X and Windows 10. Here are some features of the shaders:
- Volumetric lighting
- Improved liquids with reflections
- Dynamic shadows
- 3D models for various objects (e.g., rails and foliage)
Cost of the Graphics Pack
The exact price is unknown, but popular US retailer Walmart listed it at $10.5 (~655 rubles).

Release Date: Graphics Pack Delayed
Originally, the "Super Duper Graphics Pack" was supposed to launch in 2017, but a Minecraft developer confirmed that the Bedrock Edition's graphics engine (which runs on Windows 10, Android, iOS, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch) needed to be rewritten to support all the new features.

The pack will be released, but we don't have a date yet. The gameplay team worked hard on the Update Aquatic, while the rest of the engine team worked on releasing the Nintendo Switch version and fixing performance issues on Xbox One. Those fixes are much closer than Super Duper :)
Also, keep in mind that even the "Update Aquatic" hasn't fully released yet. All efforts are focused on the upcoming release of version 1.6, after which there will only be fixes.
On September 29, Minecon 2018 will take place, where a major new update is expected to be announced. We believe it will be related either to the Mod API (which would allow full mods in Bedrock) or to these shaders.
We could speculate for a long time, but one thing is certain: the "Super Duper Graphics Pack" won't be released this year.
What do you think? Are you waiting for the shaders?
