Minecraft Beta 1.16.100.51: What's New?
Another test version of Minecraft Bedrock (PE) Beta 1.16.100.51 has been released, in which developers continue to add changes to achieve parity with Java Edition!
Stability and Performance:
- Fixed a crash when a player opened a shulker box while standing on it after reconnecting to multiplayer.
Version Parity:
- Added sound when sea turtles lay eggs.
- Experience orbs now float in water.
- TNT no longer activates when a redstone torch is placed on it.
- Basalt blocks now take a little longer to mine.
- Basalt can no longer be destroyed by Ghast fireballs.
- Dolphins now die on land at the same rate as in Java Edition: 120 seconds.
- Pistons can no longer extend beyond the world height limit.
- Trade discounts for the Hero of the Village effect and curing zombie villagers now match Java Edition.
- Adjusted Netherite movement in lava.
- Undamaged repair items no longer prevent damaged repair items from being repaired.
General:
- Grindstone no longer shows a result if it doesn't change the item.
- Water from bubble columns now flows properly.
- Soon.
User Interface:
- Fixed a bug where the caret was missing when editing the dialog box of a Non-Player Character (NPC) (Education Edition feature).
New Achievements Screen:
- The updated achievements screen is currently only available to a limited number of players.
Technical Updates:
- Fixes for ItemDescriptors
- Item names in the format "minecraft:item.someitem" no longer require "item.".
- Added entity movement prediction.
