Minecraft Beta 1.16.20.50 - What's New?

A new test version of Minecraft PE (Bedrock) Beta 1.16.20.50 has been unexpectedly released, which not only fixes bugs but also adds a new mob to the Nether!

New Features

• Piglin Brute
  • Piglin Brutes are stronger variants of Piglins that live in bastion remnants and guard their treasures
  • Unlike their cowardly and greedy brethren, Piglin Brutes are not distracted by gold and are afraid of nothing
  • Piglin Brutes immediately attack players as soon as they see them, even if the player is wearing golden armor
  • Piglin Brutes are very strong and do not wear armor, and they use a golden axe as a weapon

Bug Fixes

• Baby piglins now despawn correctly
• Dolphins, fish, and squids again appear in bubble columns
• The maximum mob spawn radius is now 44 blocks
• Walls now connect to open trapdoors
• Walls now connect to glass blocks
• Breaking a furnace now drops smelting experience
• Using bone meal on flowers or grass blocks no longer consumes the item if nothing can grow
• The Wither's health bar no longer goes to zero when the boss loses half health
• Boats are no longer slowed down by non-collision objects
• Ambient cave sounds no longer play in marketplace content
• Slime blocks pushed by pistons again properly launch players
• Campfire with soul fire now has the correct light level
• Twisting vines now make sounds
• Fixed sound for placing nether sprouts
• Placing or walking on crimson or warped planks now plays a sound
• Hoglins no longer attack in Peaceful mode when too close
• Piglins no longer spawn on shroomlights
• Tamed wolves no longer disappear when returning through the Nether portal
• Piglins now spawn on Peaceful difficulty
• Netherite items no longer bounce in lava
• Netherite armor now has a sound when used
• Zoglins now have their own sounds, not pig sounds
