Minecraft - Hoglins and Piglins!

The developers continue to improve the recently released "Nether Update" for Minecraft: Java Edition, and today, February 14, they published another snapshot that adds new creatures, makes various changes, and fixes various bugs!

Hoglins

These pig-like creatures are new inhabitants of the Nether and appear in Crimson Forests.

• If players come into their line of sight, they will attack them. Be careful not to fall into lava!
• Upon death, hoglins drop porkchops, and sometimes leather as well.
• Hoglins can be bred using crimson fungi, but do so at your own risk.
• Piglins hunt hoglins. But don't worry, hoglins don't give up easily!
• Although Piglins attack hoglins, they are not enemies - they are more like an ecosystem.
• Baby hoglins like to pretend they're tough - but don't worry, they're more like angry toothless puppies.
• Want to keep hoglins at bay? Pro tip: Hoglins hate the smell of warped fungi!

You can use crimson fungi on two adult hoglins to make a baby hoglin.

Use the same crimson fungi to speed up the baby's growth!

Piglins

Piglins are new inhabitants of the Nether who become aggressive towards players if they are not carrying gold!

• They mainly roam in crimson forests, but can also be found in the wastes (the regular Nether biome).
• Piglins are suspicious of strangers. If they notice you opening a chest or mining gold, they will think you are trying to rob them, which will lead to bad consequences for the player.
• Piglins love gold and will be distracted from anything for it!
• These Nether inhabitants prefer to hunt and fight in groups.
• Piglins that somehow end up in the Overworld will turn into zombified piglins after some time.
• Piglins are afraid of soul fire and zombified piglins.
• Wither skeletons are enemies of piglins; they will attack them at first sight.
• Baby piglins are not as dangerous, but watch your back!
• Also, they like to play with baby hoglins!

Piglins sometimes attack hoglins. Additionally, they attack wither skeletons.

You can throw a gold ingot to a piglin, and in return it will give a random item or block.

• Very rare: warped nylium, nether quartz, and obsidian.
• Rare: glowstone dust, magma cream, and ender pearls.
• Common: shroomlight, fire charge, gravel, leather, warped fungus, and raw porkchop.
• Very common: flint, rotten flesh, soul sand, brown mushroom, red mushroom, nether bricks, and crimson fungi.

Changes:

• Endermen can now pick up new blocks from the update.
• Endermen can no longer pick up netherrack.
• The Wither can now be summoned using soul soil.
• Netherite blocks can now be used as a beacon base, and netherite ingots as beacon fuel.

Reminder: the release of the Minecraft Bedrock (PE) beta with the "Nether Update" is still expected after 1.15!
