At Minecon 2019, which took place on September 29, developers announced the Nether Update, which will allow players to survive and thrive not only in the Overworld but also in the Nether! New biomes, mobs, and blocks were announced, and today developers revealed the official name of the "pig-like" creature — Hoglin!

Meet the Hoglin!

Hoglins will become the first food source in the Nether, but don't think they'll be as cute as chickens or cows!

Whether the developers will keep the mob's name as "Hoglin" in Russian is unknown.

Reminder: the first test versions of the Nether Update are expected early next year.
