Minecraft Beta 1.14.0.1 — What's New?
The first test version of Minecraft Bedrock (PE) 1.14.0.1 has been released, bringing bees, new blocks, and items to the game! In addition, developers have fixed various bugs and improved game stability.
Known issues to be fixed in the future:
- Equipped armor is invisible on player characters.
New features:
- Added bees!
- Cute, fluffy, neutral mobs.
- Don't bother them and they won't bother you!
- If a bee stings you, it loses its stinger and dies after a while :(
- Bees love flowers!
- Bees return home after collecting pollen.
- They help crops grow.
- Bees can be bred using flowers.
- If a bee can't find nectar, it returns home.
- If a bee can't find a home, it flies around until it finds a new one.
- Bees don't like rain and sleep in their hive at night.
- Added new blocks: Bee Nest and Beehive
- Bee nests can be found in flower forests, plains, and sunflower plains.
- The honey level in the nest increases when a bee returns home with nectar.
- The maximum honey level in a nest is 5.
- A beehive can be crafted from honeycombs and planks.
- Use a tool with Silk Touch to get a nest with bees inside.
- A bee nest will be destroyed if you don't use a tool with Silk Touch!
- If the nest has maximum honey level, the block will have a texture with dripping honey.
- Use shears to collect honey from the nest.
- Use a glass bottle,
- Added Honeycomb and Honey Bottle
- Use an empty bottle on a honey-filled bee nest to get a Honey Bottle.
- Dispensers can now fill bottles with water and honey!
- Dispensers can now cut honeycombs from bee nests and beehives!
- Added Honeycomb Block
- A decorative block that can be crafted from honeycombs!
- Added Honey Block
- Significantly reduces movement speed and jump height, but also reduces fall damage.
- You can slowly slide down a honey block, useful for descending into caves!
- When a honey block is moved by a piston, adjacent blocks also move.
- When a honey block is moved by a piston, entities on top move with it.
Changes:
- Leads can now be used on bears, parrots, ocelots, and dolphins.
- Changed experience points from animals to match Java
- Most animals drop 1-3 XP, but dolphins drop none.
Bug fixes:
- Crashes and performance:
- Fixed some crashes and improved game stability.
- Fixed an issue with seaweed growth causing lag.
- General:
- Fixed glass breaking animation in some packs.
- Capes now apply correctly.
- Fixed a bug where players couldn't get the "Teleport me!" achievement.
- Fixed a bug where some skins displayed a white cape.
- Fixed a render distance issue that could cause incorrect loading of an old (limited) world if the player exited at a certain point.
- Fixed a bug where capes didn't scale in the character editor.
- Fixed a bug where some elements in the character editor became unresponsive.
- Fixed a bug where script error messages appeared in the Alien Worlds Marketplace pack.
- Gameplay:
- Minecart sounds now load and play correctly.
- Armor can again be equipped in Creative mode on touchscreen devices.
- Fixed a bug where a crossbow fired immediately after loading.
- The "Frost Walker" enchantment again freezes water.
- Fixed a bug where players fell from the sky after riding an entity in Creative mode.
- Arrows and tridents no longer fall through the ground after being blocked by a shield.
- Tilled blocks again turn into dirt blocks when the player jumps on them.
- Placing armor on an armor stand in Creative mode no longer equips it on the player.
- Mobs:
- Reduced fox attack range to match Java.
- Items held by foxes are now visible.
- Horses now use the correct model.
- Improved pathfinding for flying mobs.
- Items:
- Fixed compass and clock animation in the hotbar.
- User interface:
- Equipped carpets now appear correctly in the llama inventory.
- Add-ons and Script Engine:
- Fixed boss health bar when custom Withers are created.
- Custom entities again display a health bar when ridden.
