Minecraft 1.2.5 Beta 1 - What's New?
Just a week ago, the developers released Minecraft 1.2.3 Beta 1, and today they released the first beta of 1.2.5.
But this update introduced a very interesting feature - a content rating system in the marketplace. You can download the new version on the download page - Minecraft 1.2.5, and below I suggest you check out the list of changes.
New Features:
- Added a new recipe toggle and the ability to view the Creative inventory in full-screen mode (in classic interface)
- Added a content rating system in the marketplace
Tweaks:
- Pressing the A button in the Creative inventory now places only one item into the inventory, not a full stack (64). Pressing the Y button will place a full stack, and X will clear the hotbar in Creative mode (for gamepads)
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed a crash when closing the skin selection screen
- Fixed an error when using uppercase letters in the '/gamerule' command
- Fixed an error when using the '/fill' command with some blocks
- Reduced block placement sensitivity
- Cobwebs now drop as items
- Fixed light from sources like torches when smooth lighting is enabled
- Food particles now appear when animals eat
- All mobs can now be spawned on water by players
- Placing a snow layer from the inventory now only takes one block
- Flint and steel no longer deals damage when hitting mobs
- Items floating on water will no longer have a "shaking" animation
- Dead bushes can now be replaced when placing blocks and items
- Reduced hitbox size of crops
- Fixed various bugs in the in-game store
- Slightly increased ocelot spawn rate
- and about 20 other fixes
To rate content, you need to be signed in via Xbox Live and download the add-on. After that, you can rate it using stars:

The developers also updated the pocket and classic interfaces. In my opinion, everything looks much better now!

By the way, I noticed that the login page in the game was also slightly changed.
