Minecraft 1.2: Update Release!
Finally, after long testing, the developers have released the final version of the Minecraft 1.2 update, also known as "Better Together".
Thanks to the new version of the game, all players who previously played on Android, iOS, Windows 10, GearVR, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch can now play together!

Tweaks:
- Updated loading screen!
- Rebalanced most game sound effects and music (now sounds like rain are much quieter)
- Now it's easier to see underwater when drinking a water breathing potion and night vision potion
- Blaze powder is now required as fuel for the brewing stand
- Ice blocks are now transparent!
- Maps can now be held in the off-hand!
- Chat messages can now be disabled
- Underwater particles
- You can now change your skin from the pause menu
- Block placement speed now matches player movement speed
- Temperature now decreases with altitude (the higher you go, the more snow there is, etc.)
This is far from the full list; in addition to various new features and improvements, over 3000 bugs have been fixed!
