Mod: Ancient Food
The «Ancient Food» addon takes you back to the era of primitive tribes, when every morsel of food was obtained through labor and ingenuity, without automatic farms or familiar furnaces. The mod fits perfectly into vanilla survival, making cooking more atmospheric, step-by-step, and thoughtful.
Almost all processes, from kneading dough to baking and drying, take place right on the crafting table. To simulate heat and roasting, you have to use up flint and steel durability, and carefully evaporate precious salt from seawater. You will also need the first culinary tool in the form of a mortar and pestle, without which you cannot grind wild ingredients or obtain quality flour.

The mod features dozens of dishes, each with its own properties:
- Homemade bread and cookies as the basis of recipes
- Acorn bread with a speed effect
- Smoked ham and fish pemmican for long journeys
- Ancient cheese with a full cheesemaking cycle
- Honey apples, roasted pumpkin seeds, dried wild onion and fern, berry-nut puree, salted seaweed, mushroom skewers, cheese bread, and baked potatoes with bacon
- Also hot drinks, pine needle tea, and soothing herbal tea that removes poison, nausea, weakness, hunger, and slowness
