The developers released the full Minecraft 1.21.111 update for Bedrock Edition on September 30, 2025. This is the final release of “The Copper Age”, introducing Copper Chests, Shelves, the Copper Golem, as well as Copper tools and armor.
Changes
- Copper Golem Statue:
- Oxidizes over time.
- Honeycombs can be used to stop oxidation.
- The statue's pose can be changed by interaction.
- Using an axe on the statue will turn it back into a Copper Golem.
- A Redstone Comparator can read the statue’s pose and emit a signal.
- Shelf:
- Crafted from six blocks of the same stripped wood or bamboo.
- Craft yields 6 shelves.
- Can hold up to 3 stacks of items.
- Items on the shelf are displayed like in an item frame.
- Redstone-powered shelves link together and allow swapping with the player’s hotbar slots.
- Copper Horse Armor:
- Shares the same loot table and spawn chance as Iron Horse Armor.
- Provides 4 defense points.
- Fire:
- Certain blocks can now be ignited not only with flint and steel, but also fire charges (e.g., stone slabs, stairs).
- Glass can now catch fire from flint and steel or fire charges.
- Lightning Rods now have oxidation stages, including those held by Copper Golems.
- Copper Armor and Tools:
- Hostile mobs may spawn wearing Copper Armor.
- Hostile mobs can pick up and use Copper weapons and tools.
- Dyes received new textures for better readability and accessibility for colorblind players.
- Wolves will no longer start shaking if they are already shaking.
- Copper Golem:
- A fully oxidized Copper Golem turns into a statue.
- It freezes in a random pose.
- If holding an item, it will drop it when turning into a statue.
- Names applied with name tags are preserved when becoming a statue.
- The experimental option "2025: Release 3" has been removed.
- Graphics:
- Updated volumetric fog settings for PC.
- Added subsurface scattering for particles.
- Max render distance with fancy effects increased to 28.
- Increased block outline thickness when targeted for better visibility.
- Realms:
- Added a new "Edit World" screen.
- Access via Realms → Settings → Slots → Edit World.
- You can switch between the old and new design.
- Resource and behavior packs are still configured through the old UI.

Bug Fixes
All fixes from the test builds have been carried over.
