Minecraft 26.50.22 [Beta]

The developers have released the Minecraft 26.50.22 beta for Android. The headline is that the fall drop's Drop 3 2026 content no longer requires experiments — the developers removed the toggle, and all features are available by default. Along with that, this update brings 8 changes and 22 bug fixes.

Drop 3 2026

The highlights:

• Removed the Drop 3 2026 experiment:
  • All of the fall drop's content is now available by default, without enabling experimental features.
• Modified existing Abandoned Camps and added more campsites.
• Cushions in camps no longer generate inside other objects.
• The Cushion item group is now correctly named "Cushions" in the Creative inventory.
• Poplar Leaves no longer show black pixels while held in hand on Simple graphics with "Fancy Leaves" enabled.
• Shelf Mushrooms are now immediately destroyed when lava flows into them.
• Double Wool Slabs can no longer be obtained with commands.
• Poplar Leaves, Poplar Shelves, Poplar Boats, and Cushions are now ordered consistently in the Creative inventory.

Changes

8 changes made. Here's the rundown:

• Projectiles can now hit the entity that fired them (or entities in the same vehicle hierarchy, such as the shooter's mount) only after they have physically left that hierarchy. This prevents players from hurting themselves with lightly charged Arrows.
• Armor Stands and Drowned are now harder for hostile mobs to detect while invisible.
• Bats now spawn in all Overworld biomes except the Deep Dark.
• Introduced a localized loading spinner in place of the play button on the Realms tab while the client fetches data, along with a reload button for the tab in case the fetch fails.
• Updated the brightness adjustment screen in Settings (both in and out of game) to use the new Ore UI design and tech.
• Added an empty-state message for the Marketplace Wishlist with a Browse Marketplace button.
• Furnace recipe book preferences are now saved after reloading a world.
• Screenshots can now be set as world thumbnails without triggering an assertion.

Bug Fixes

22 bugs fixed. The highlights:

• Fixed incorrect damage calculation for Players falling from certain heights through one block of water.
• Fixed players who died inside a Nether portal respawning in the Nether.
• Fixed the same world seed generating End portals with inconsistent numbers of Eyes of Ender.
• Fixed an entity teleporting to an unexpected location when using the teleport command between dimensions.
• Fixed tears in the dithering effect when looking through models in Vibrant Visuals.
• Fixed a crash when opening "Change Control Mode" under Touch settings after deleting a world.
• Fixed memory leaks when blocks are moved by a piston outside the simulation distance.
• Fixed the game crashing when pressing Tab repeatedly while dying.
• Japanese symbols are no longer displayed in a different font in specific areas of the UI.
• Text on the world tile buttons in the My Worlds, My Templates, and Servers menus is no longer truncated by ellipses.
• Fixed a cape causing visual discrepancies between the in-game model and the model shown in the Dressing Room.
• Trusted servers no longer prompt players for confirmation after restarting the client.
• Fixed the error message display when the Marketplace Wishlist fails to load.
• Fixed screen reader narration for the vertical menu on settings screens.
• Fixed the height of the members search bar on Realms.
• Fixed downloading a copy of a Realm world not starting after changing settings.
• Fixed the strings "Core" and "Plus" sometimes being translated into other languages.
• Ported the deletion modal used by the Storage list into OreUI.
