Minecraft alpha 0.17.0.2 [Release]

The developers have released Minecraft Pocket Edition alpha 0.17.0.2. It's the second build of version 1.0.0, known as the Ender Update. The build is light on new additions, but it brings downloadable in-game music, a Seed Picker screen, 21 changes, and many fixes.

Changes

21 changes made. The highlights:

• The /locate command is no longer available.
• Removed "100% dragon free" and "It's alpha" from the splash text, since the Ender Dragon has been implemented and the game is no longer in alpha.
• The player's device now checks whether there's enough free storage for the game before starting the download.
• Tweaked Slime and Magma Cube loot drops to be correct.
• Tweaked the "Natural" pack description so it doesn't get cut off.
• The lowest render distance is now 3 chunks (below that, chunks got stuck loading).
• Tweaked the Blaze's attack charge time to match other editions.
• Tweaked chunk generation.
• Capitalized the "r" in Realms in the dialog text.
• Changed the "Save world to device" text to "Download World."
• Changed the "Create new world" text to "Create New."
• Tweaked the Realms selection screen UI so Realms don't shift around.
• Changed the sign-in button size.
• Added the ignite sound for minecarts with TNT and for creepers.
• Reworked the error validation screen to better convey the problem with a failing Add-on pack.
• Localization fixes and an update to the Rift launcher (Win 10 Oculus Rift only).
• Tweaked the narration accessibility mode.
• Tweaked the Play screen and Achievements screen layouts.
• Tweaked text so it stays where it belongs and remains readable.
• Updated the "Leave Bed" button.

Bug Fixes

Fixed many bugs. The highlights:

• Fixed Wither behavior: they didn't attack when summoned by command, attacked Wither Skeletons and Strays, and a Wither Skeleton had a normal texture after being summoned.
• Fixed biomes looking strange when loading previously generated worlds.
• Importing an already-imported Add-on no longer shows the "import failed" error — a correct message now appears.
• Tamed adult Ocelots now tame correctly, and enchantments and horse armor from End City chests are now the same strength as in other editions.
• Throwing a splash water bottle at an Enderman no longer crashes the game.
• Entering an End Portal now always takes you to the End (and from the End back to the Overworld).
• The Ender Dragon can no longer be hooked with a fishing rod, and its boss bar is now visible throughout the fight.
• The Ender Dragon no longer respawns every time the game reloads, and no longer appears in the Overworld if the character dies in the End before killing it.
• Iron Golems now have full knockback resistance.
• Fixed the area of effect of the Dragon's Breath cloud.
• Hoes till dirt again.
• Witches now spawn from witch huts.
• Fixed Eye of Ender duplication glitches and many crashes (loading terrain, joining a LAN game, the End Portal, returning through a Nether portal, and others).
• Fixed many sounds: Ghasts, thunderstorms, Creepers, the Snow Golem, Zombie Villagers, Silverfish, Squid, and Husks.
• Ender Crystals can now be destroyed in Survival (Android only).
• Fixed a major FPS drop caused by the mass of purple particles during the Ender Dragon fight (Android only).
