Minecraft 26.10.04

Developers released Minecraft 26.10 "Tiny Takeover" on March 24, 2026. This major update adds the golden dandelion to stop baby mob growth, updates models and textures for over 40 species of baby animals, makes name tags craftable, adds a new instrument for note blocks, and introduces hundreds of improvements to the game.

Golden Dandelion

A new flower that can be placed on blocks.

• Crafted from 1 dandelion and 8 gold nuggets.
• Can be purchased from a wandering trader.
• When used on a baby mob, stops it from aging.
• Using it again on the same baby mob resumes aging.
• Does not work on monsters (including undead mounts) or villagers.
• Can be placed and potted like any other flower.

Updated Baby Mobs

• Models and textures updated for the following babies:
  • Armadillo, Axolotl, Bee, Camel, Cat, Chicken, Cow, Drowned
  • Donkey, Dolphin, Fox, Goat, Glow Squid, Hoglin, Horse
  • Husk, Llama, Mooshroom, Mule, Ocelot, Panda, Pig, Piglin
  • Polar Bear, Rabbit, Sniffer, Strider, Trader Llama
  • Skeleton Horse, Sheep, Squid, Turtle, Villager
  • Wolf, Zoglin, Zombie, Zombie Horse, Zombie Villager, Zombified Piglin
• Added new sounds for baby wolves, cats, pigs, horses, and chickens.
• Armor on baby wolves and saddles on baby pigs no longer render.

Changes

• Trumpet instrument added
  • Plays when a note block is placed on a copper block; the timbre depends on the oxidation level of the copper.
• Name Tag
  • Now craftable from 1 paper and any nugget.
  • Can be purchased from a wandering trader for 1 emerald (7% chance, 5 in stock).
  • No longer found in chests in woodland mansions and ancient cities.
  • Librarians no longer offer name tags as a Master-level trade.
• Dead bushes can now be placed on farmland.
• The stonecutter now supports direct crafting of cobblestone from stone, as well as all deepslate variants.
• Cats, chickens, cows, and pigs received new sound variants: "royal" (cats), "mini" and "big" (pigs), "moody" (cows), "picky" (chickens).
• Rabbit model, animations, and textures updated; idle animation added.
• Updated texture for horses with black spots.

Bug Fixes

All fixes from Beta & Preview builds have been carried over.
