Minecraft 1.26.10.24 [Beta]

Developers have released Minecraft Beta and Preview 26.10.24 buil. This update adds five new baby mobs and introduces numerous changes to creature appearances and behavior.

Changes

• Baby Pandas, Striders, Hoglins, Sniffers, and Zoglins have received updated models and textures.
• Golden Dandelion:
  • Using it on a baby mob now produces green particles.
  • Particles moving downward indicate growth is paused.
  • Particles moving upward indicate growth has resumed.
  • Added sounds for pausing and resuming growth.
• Stone and Deepslate can now be crafted into their cobbled variants in the Stonecutter.
• Dead Bushes can now be placed on Farmland.
• Adult Pigs, Cats, Cows, and Chickens now have unique sound variants.
• The "Servers" tab now displays custom servers even when default servers are unavailable.
• The "How to Play" section has been moved from Settings to the Pause screen.
• Added an experimental toggle for the Furnace Recipe Book.
• The legacy Realms backup flag has been removed. The new "Realms Saves" system is permanently enabled.
• Wolf Pups:
  • Now attack Sheep.
  • Growl when angry.
• Baby Zombie Horses can now be leashed.

Bug Fixes

• The "Scrolling direction" setting on Windows now works correctly.
• Clock, Compass, and Recovery Compass textures no longer become corrupted when switching resource packs.
• Player inventory now always updates correctly when picking up items already held in the off-hand.
• Tamed Wolves and Cats no longer become wild when spawning a baby using an egg on another mob.
• Puppies and kittens no longer spawn with a gray collar when spawned using an egg.
• Adult Wolves and puppies now attack a player who hits a puppy.
• Players can no longer breed a tamed Wolf with a wild one.
• Fixed the texture variant for the tamed British Shorthair kitten.
• Baby Zombies, Zombie Villagers, Piglins, and Zombified Piglins no longer have a misaligned torso when riding.
• Fixed incorrect scaling of baby mobs when using classic resource packs.
• Striders and Piglins no longer scream excessively.
• Resolved freezing and excessively large save files near lava flows in the Nether.
• Fixed slow server performance when loading a world with too many blocks scheduled for ticking.
• UI elements outside a scroller area are now narrated correctly.
• Characters in the UI no longer rotate incorrectly when riding a mob.
• Ore UI keyboard and mouse settings now save correctly when modified in-game.
• Cursor position in signs can now be changed using a mouse or touch input.
• Adjusted Baby Mule and Baby Donkey models for correct collision box alignment.
• Baby Skeleton Horses can no longer be ridden.
• Hitboxes for Baby Horses, Zombie Horses, and Skeleton Horses are now slightly larger.
• The Baby Armadillo's head now positions correctly.
• The Baby Armadillo now rolls up with the correct animation.
• Items carried in Foxes' mouths now display correctly.
• Updated the Baby Llama model to fix visual leg glitches.
• Baby Villager hitboxes are now properly aligned.
• Hostile humanoid mobs again hold off-hand items in the correct position.
• Baby Villagers now sleep in the center of beds again.
• Improved lead positioning for baby mobs with new geometry.
• Added MERS textures for tamed baby cats.
• Baby Polar Bears are now the correct size.
• The Baby Turtle hitbox now matches its model size.
• Lowered the arms of Baby Zombies and Drowned to prevent held items from clipping into their heads.
• Separated Baby Wolf animations from adult Wolf animations.
• The Baby Armadillo no longer peeks out while rolled up.
