Minecraft 1.26.0.25

The final Minecraft Beta and Preview 1.26.0.25 build this year has been released. This version includes several small improvements and various fixes.

The next updates will begin rolling out in January 2026. Happy holidays!

Changes

• Added the Party System:
  • Create a party with your friends and follow the party leader from world to world.
  • The Party System is currently available only on some devices and will roll out to more over time.
• Updated the mob effect update logic.
• Diamond Horse Armor now provides 2 points of toughness.
• Golden Horse Armor no longer provides toughness.
• Temporary files on Windows now write to '%LocalAppData%\Temp\Minecraft Bedrock Preview' and '%LocalAppData%\Temp\Minecraft Bedrock' respectively.

Fixed Bugs

• Low-memory Android devices no longer crash at startup.
• Pressing “Enter” no longer causes crashes or puts Selection/Quick Move mode into an incorrect state.
• Using the Brush for Quick Move operations in the Editor no longer causes crashes.
• Subtitles now function correctly.
• Improved Bamboo Stalk rendering at a distance to prevent sudden pop-in.
• Vibrant Visuals:
  • The selected setting now displays correctly after choosing it in the panel.
  • Water in the Editor now renders correctly.
  • Sunlight no longer shines through walls, for example near cave entrances.
• Scrolling no longer moves the camera on Windows.
• The Creaking attack animation is no longer cut short.
• The Water Breathing effect now prevents the Nautilus from suffocating outside of water.
• Drowned can now control the Zombie Nautilus they ride.
• Baby Zombie Horses can no longer be ridden.
• Baby Zombie Horses can no longer be equipped with a Saddle or Horse Armor.
• The following undead mobs no longer panic when hit:
  • Camel Husks
  • Skeleton Horses
  • Zombie Horses
• UI narration now reads the description and storage bar labels in the “Free up space” dialog as two separate items.
• Updated the description of the Reset and Replace confirmation modals on the Realms Edit World screen.
• The resource_packs and behavior_packs folders are now properly migrated to the new file directory on Windows.
• The Settings button in the Game Menu has been reverted to a text button.
• Newly bred and mounted baby Horses, Mules, and Donkeys now show the correct max health hearts when fully grown.
• Fixed the misleading message displayed when attempting to sleep in a Bed.
• Fixed typos in the Encyclopedia.
• The outline color of an active effect now changes when an ambient effect is replaced by an identical non-ambient effect, or vice versa.
