Minecraft 1.21.80.22

The Minecraft Beta and Preview 1.21.80.22 update is here! This update finally introduces flat world presets! Additionally, 14 bugs have been fixed and 2 changes have been made.

Flat Worlds

In the Advanced section of the Create New World screen, you can now choose from several flat world presets, if flat world mode is enabled.

• The following presets have been added:
  • Classic Flat
  • Tunneler's Dream
  • Water World
  • Overworld
  • Snowy Kingdom
  • Bottomless Pit
  • Desert
  • Redstone Ready
• More presets will be added in future updates, including the popular "The Void" preset.

Experimental

• The Locator Bar now displays dots representing players in Spectator Mode, visible to other players also in Spectator Mode.

Changes

• The Friends tab now shows if a friend is playing in the same world as you.

Bug Fixes

• Repeatedly clicking an inactive Realm slot while uploading a world no longer causes a crash.
• Chunk generation no longer causes the game to crash.
• Text-to-Speech now works again on Android Fire tablets.
• Players no longer lie underneath or beside a bed when trying to sleep.
• Deepslate Redstone Ore can now be activated again — it lights up when interacted with.
• Previously activated Deepslate Redstone Ore no longer remains lit up indefinitely.
• Correct collision is now applied when respawning after death while gliding or swimming.
• Mobs no longer have trouble hitting players who are standing still nearby.
• Camels no longer spawn in spaces that are too small for them.
• Music and sounds no longer continue to play after pressing "Save and Exit".
• Wolves now use correct sound variations when spawning.
• The Escape key now works properly on the death screen.
• In splitscreen, selecting a slot with the right stick on a gamepad no longer skips slots.
• Items are now evenly distributed across slots when dragging with the left mouse button.
