Minecraft 1.4: What's Coming?
This year we're getting the biggest ocean update in Minecraft, as the "Update Aquatic" is coming! For a long time, oceans in Minecraft were practically empty, but with the next version, everything will change! "The Update Aquatic" will bring a ton of new content to the game, affecting the seas and oceans of the popular sandbox!
Coral reefs, kelp, fish, dolphins, shipwrecks, tridents, new enchantments, and water physics updates - all of this will be coming soon!

Mobs:
- Phantom (or Monster of the Night Skies)
A flying mob that lives high in the sky
Targets players who haven't slept for a long time - Dolphin
Able to jump out of water
Dolphins will help players find underwater treasure - Turtle
Bury eggs on beaches of various biomes
Baby turtles will run to water after hatching - Various types of fish
All fish in the game will now have models
Blocks:
- Coral
- Kelp
Items:
- Trident:
Can be thrown underwater
Enchantments:
- Impaling
- Riptide
- Loyalty
- Channeling
Generation:
- Shipwrecks: you can find various treasures in them
- Icebergs
- Bubble columns
Generate on the ocean floor
If a player stands over them, they can breathe - New water physics:
Items will now float
Water and items can now flow through some fences and slabs
Release date of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.4 and Minecraft: Java Edition 1.14
It is expected that the new version will come out in spring. Unfortunately, there is no exact date.
Which platforms will the update be on?
The update will be available for all current platforms: Minecraft Bedrock (Android, iOS, Windows 10, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch), Minecraft: Java Edition, Minecraft: Console Edition (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4)
