Minecon 2017: Results and Update Announcement!
Minecon 2017 Earth has officially ended and a lot of interesting things were announced, most importantly - new updates for Minecraft Bedrock and Minecraft Java Edition!
ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE "UPDATE AQUATIC"
The oceans of Minecraft will soon receive their biggest update! The Update Aquatic will add a ton of new content to the game: corals, seaweed, fish, dolphins, shipwrecks, new water physics, and much more!
The revamped ocean will require new weapons, so we present to you the trident! You can not only use it in melee combat but also enchant it with new enchantments - Impaling and Riptide!
The update will be available on all supported platforms next year!
NEW SERVER PARTNER
Introducing the new Minecraft server partner Hive! This year you can check out the exciting minigame Death Run! In Death Run, players must navigate a course, overcoming obstacles, avoiding traps, and proving their parkour skills!
NINTENDO SWITCH AND SUPER DUPER PACK
The developers are continuing to work on the Super Duper Graphics Pack, but unfortunately, the shaders will not be released this year.
The pack will be released alongside the new Minecraft update - the Update Aquatic in 2018, and moreover, the popular handheld console Nintendo Switch will receive cross-platform support with mobile devices, Windows 10, and Xbox One!
MOB B IS COMING TO MINECRAFT!
Hooray! Mob B, the Monster of the Night Skies, won the vote at Minecon 2017 and will be added to the game next year!
MINECRAFT: ADVENTURE TIME!
The popular animated series Adventure Time will receive an exclusive Minecraft-themed episode in 2018!
FREE CONTENT IN THE MARKETPLACE
To celebrate MINECON Earth, the developers are giving away several free add-ons for Minecraft Bedrock! Minecon 2017 Free Content.
