Minecraft 1.7.0.2 - What's New?

After a long silence, the developers have released a new beta version of Minecraft Bedrock 1.6, which brings an exciting new feature for map makers and server owners - the scoreboard (in-game event scoring system)!

New Features:

• Added basic scoreboard functionality. More features will come with the release!
• You can now eat food in Creative mode and on Peaceful difficulty
• Added the /gamerule commandblocksenabled command

The new Scoreboard feature is mainly intended for map makers and server creators to inform players about their current level, balance, etc.

Changes:

• Players mentioned in chat are now highlighted in yellow
• Typing "@" now displays a list of player nicknames for autocomplete
• Improved access to purchased content in the Marketplace, product search, and return to the home page

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed some bugs that caused the game to crash
• Fixed a crash when many villagers tried to open a door at the same time
• Fixed a crash when firing a Trident with the Channeling enchantment from a dispenser and hitting mobs or a player during a thunderstorm
• Monster spawners no longer drop as items after an explosion
• Sneaking on ladders will no longer stop when opening the pause menu or inventory
• Rails are again broken by flowing water
• Land mobs now play sounds underwater
• Visual effects now display when using a Trident with the Riptide enchantment
• Sound resumes again when receiving notifications on iOS devices
• Drowned no longer switch to swimming mode if they are in a boat
• Fixed trapdoors losing orientation after cloning
• Banners now have correct placement and breaking sounds
• Water fog is removed when the player lifts their head above the water level
• Sea pickles now break instantly in Survival mode
• Minecarts with TNT now explode if they fall from a height of four blocks or more
• You can now drop items while riding a boat
• Mobs stop moving when all movements are removed from behavior
• Only the player riding a mount can access that mount's inventory
• Fixed some other bugs

The 1.6 release is still expected by September, but we can't say anything about 1.7. After all, Mojang and Microsoft could release beta 1.8 at any moment.
