Minecraft 1.3: Even More New Stuff!
The developers continue to add interesting new features to Minecraft: Java Edition and today (March 13) released a new snapshot that added several new things to the game! Coral fans, shipwrecks, and most importantly, a new underwater mob – the Drowned!
Coral Fans
Coral fans are somewhat similar to coral plants, but they generate only on the sides of coral blocks.
There are five coral fans available: blue, pink, purple, red, and yellow.
Drowned
These mobs can spawn in oceans and rivers. If a regular zombie drowns, it will turn into a Drowned.
The Drowned can spawn with a trident in its hand, and it can swim!
Shipwrecks
Shipwrecks can be found in oceans and on beaches. They contain three different types of loot, depending on the ship variant.
A special feature of ships is that they can generate whole, in parts, or even upside down!
The developers also announced that the first beta of 1.3 for Android, Windows 10, and Xbox One could be released as early as this week (according to some sources, as soon as tomorrow, i.e., March 14)!
Note that the first version will include only a few new features, not all at once.
