Minecraft at E3: Cross-Platform Play and 4K Graphics!
Cross-Platform Play! Super Duper Graphics! Servers in Minecraft!
At the E3 2017 gaming expo, employees of Mojang and Microsoft shared great news that all players will love! Minecraft is getting a massive update that will unite all players across consoles, Pocket Edition, and Windows 10 into one edition! And that's not all! The new update will bring servers to the game, as well as 4K support!
UPDATE: BETTER TOGETHER
The new update will unite all players, breaking down barriers and allowing you to play with each other from different devices! You can play from your Android device, Xbox One console, or any other device—there will no longer be boundaries that used to separate players!
Everyone playing Minecraft on Windows 10, iOS, Android, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, or VR will be able to play online together. If you purchased the game on a mobile device or VR device, you'll get the update for free. Owners of Xbox One Edition or Nintendo Switch editions will receive a new separate game completely free. All your existing worlds and add-ons will automatically transfer to the new version. Also, if you buy any add-on in the game, you'll automatically get it on other editions as well.
IN-GAME SERVERS

Servers in Minecraft appeared almost from the first days of the game's release. It's really cool because on servers you can meet, chat, and interact with other players. But Mojang has gone further!
Unlike Minecraft Realms, which gives you your own server, public servers are open and accessible to everyone, and some of these servers get millions of players each month!
Therefore, all current platforms will receive a free update that includes a new server window, allowing you to easily find a server and join the game. At launch, 4 servers will be available in the game: Lifeboat, Mineplex, InPVP, and Cubecraft.
UPDATE: SUPER DUPER GRAPHICS

And finally, this fall Mojang will release a free update that enhances the graphics in Minecraft. Minecraft will get 4K graphics support, as well as HDR mode, which will improve lighting in the game, shadows, water effects, and much more! This update will be available on Xbox One, Windows 10, iOS, Android, and VR.
Remember, installing it is completely optional. The developers just want to surprise players with something new, unique, and original.
That's not all the news! There's still a whole year ahead! See you at Minecon 2017!
