Players Found a Secret Version of Minecraft

September 18, 2010 developers released Minecraft Alpha 1.1.1, but this version was quickly replaced by 1.1.2 due to a critical error.

For years, players considered this update secret, but recently it was discovered that one of the players still had a file with this version on their disk.

After that, moderators of the Omniarchive resource confirmed the authenticity of the version and added it to their platform. Omniarchive provides access to all old versions of the game.

The Minecraft Alpha 1.1.1 version was notable because due to a code error, the screen turned completely gray.
