New Boats Coming in the Nether Update!

On February 8th, the developers held a live stream where they showcased the new features of the Nether Update and answered players' questions.

In one of the questions, they confirmed that the new update will include Netherite boats, which will be immune to lava and allow players to safely travel across lava lakes in the Nether!

In addition to Netherite boats, the developers shared the following information:

• Piglins are ready and will appear in upcoming Java Edition snapshots.
• The Nether Update will not include any new biomes for the Nether.
• The Nether Update will not include new enchantments, and the developers have no plans to add them.

Recall that the first snapshot of Minecraft: Java Edition 1.16 was released on February 5th. The beta version of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition 1.15 is expected to be released in the coming weeks.
