Minecraft Release 1.14.0 — What's New?
The full version of the Minecraft Bedrock 1.14 update has finally been released, bringing PS4 support, bees, honey, and new blocks to the game!
New Features:
- PlayStation 4 Support
- Bees!
- Neutral mobs.
- Collect nectar and store it in hives.
- Bees sleep at night and don't like rain.
- If a bee doesn't have a home, it will wander the world until it finds a new one.
- Bees can be bred with flowers.
- Bee Nest and Beehive
- Nests generate naturally in the world. They can be found in flower forests, plains, and sunflower plains biomes.
- Use shears to collect honey from a hive. The hive must be at level 5 (honey dripping) to get honeycombs.
- Use a glass bottle to get a honey bottle.
- Campfire smoke calms bees.
- Redstone friend! Dispensers can harvest honeycombs from hives.
- Honey Block
- Reduces movement speed, jump height, and fall damage.
- You can slide down honey blocks carefully (new parkour!).
- If a honey block is pushed by a piston, adjacent blocks are also moved.
- If a honey block is pushed by a piston, entities on top are also moved.
- Honeycomb Block
- Crafted from honeycombs and used for decoration.
Changes:
- Updated menu background.
- Leads can now be used on bears, parrots, ocelots, and dolphins.
- Dispensers can now fill bottles with water and honey.
- Changed experience drops from animals to match Java Edition:
- Most animals drop 1 to 3 experience points upon death, but dolphins drop 0.
- Added new game rule '/gamerule showtags' to hide/show tags.
Various bugs have been fixed, and add-on packs, resource packs, documentation, and test packs have been updated, which can be downloaded from minecraft.net/en-us/creator.
