Minecraft Beta 1.9.0.2 - What's New?

Development of the Minecraft Bedrock 1.9 update continues

Experimental gameplay:

• Cartography Table
• Fletching Table
• Grindstone
• Bell
• Barrel
• Smithing Table
• Smoker
• Blast Furnace
• Lantern

New features:

• Cauldrons can now be used to store lava
• Added tags. Custom tags can be applied to entities and players to create more flexible group selectors
• Added the "has_tag" filter to components, allowing you to check if an entity has a specified tag
• Autocomplete support for tags
• The number of commands run via /function can be limited by a new game rule (default 10k) to limit performance issues (/function commandlimit)
• Functions (/function) can now run every tick, creating a loop
• The Education button is now available from the game settings menu

Changes:

• Default text color on signs changed to black
• Signs in the creative inventory are now grouped
• Players can now join and play if their game version has minor matches
