Minecraft Beta 1.9.0 - What's New?

Unexpectedly, the developers released a new test version for Android, Windows 10, and Xbox One - Minecraft Bedrock Beta 1.9.0! The new version brings part of the content from the "Village and Pillage" update and a bunch of new blocks!

Changes:

• When a pet dies, a corresponding message will now appear in chat
• The tripwire hook now activates if broken with shears
• Improved performance when using function commands (/function)

Bug Fixes:

• Fixed a possible crash when replacing a wooden door with an iron one
• Fixed a crash that occurred when using the pickblock function on a chest filled with written books
• Updated the error message for insufficient disk space
• Items in hand now have the correct texture if a different texture pack is used
• Fixed controls when sneaking while falling into water, which prevented the player from getting out of the water and started drowning
• Fixed the panda feeding animation
• A charged crossbow will no longer fire when interacting with blocks, animals, etc.
• The crossbow can now be used to hit mobs and other players
• The trident will no longer use the crossbow animation
• Crossbow shots will no longer accidentally break blocks on touch screens
• Improved text input in various fields. Text fields can now be highlighted and selected using the keyboard
• Players can no longer change their multiplayer permissions
• Shulker boxes now push entities when opened
• Fixed some other bugs and improved game performance
