Mixer in Minecraft 1.2.5 - how to use?
Starting with Minecraft Bedrock 1.2.5, players now have a really cool feature that lets you start a live stream with just one click using the Mixer service! What is Mixer?
Mixer is a streaming video website (live streams) that allows anyone to host streams and make them interactive! Try out the new features of the Mixer app right now in the 1.2.5 beta on Android!
How to start a stream in Minecraft on Android:
- Download the Mixer Create app, then open the Minecraft beta.
- Go to the game settings from the main menu or from within a world.
- Scroll down and select "Broadcast".
- Tap Launch Mixer Create.
- Tap the big pink button to start streaming.
Using the special bar at the bottom, you can turn the front camera and microphone on/off, and chat with your viewers.

Thanks to the program's interactivity, any command in Minecraft can be turned into an interactive button, and your viewers can interact with you using them!
How to start an interactive stream?
- Log into Minecraft and sign in with the same account you created on Mixer.
- Type the command /mixer in the game chat; in this command you can set several parameters.
- Then add start to this command: /mixer start
- Then enter two unique identifiers (version ID and share code): /mixer start [Version ID] [Share Code]
- Press Enter to enable interactivity in the game.

How to create your own interactive stream in Minecraft?
- Visit the Mixer Interactive Studio website and create a new project.
- Click the Build tab to go to the controls section. Click New Control, give it any name, and select make it a button.
- Select the created control to open its options:
Text: the text displayed on the button
Spark Cost: how many sparks a press costs
Keyboard Control: if you want viewers to interact via keyboard keys
Tooltip: a hint for viewers that appears on hover
Meta Properties: information sent to Minecraft - Now it's time to make the button interactive for Minecraft!
In Meta Properties, select Add Property, enter a name, and set the command itself.
Now you need to set the button's cooldown. It's simple.
- Go back to Meta Properties and select Add Property.
- In Name, enter Cooldown.
- Set Type to Number.
- In the text field, enter the number of seconds for the cooldown after pressing. It is not recommended to set a value below 10!
Now save the project and click the share button. In the window, select Anyone with Version ID and code can play. Copy the resulting version ID and share code, then paste them into the /mixer start command.
This way you can host full live streams that become interactive and engaging for your viewers with Mixer!
