Minecraft 26.50.24 [Beta]

The developers have released the Minecraft Beta & Preview 26.50.24 build. It adds the final features of the third 2026 drop: Abandoned Camps now contain improved maps that lead to other Overworld structures, and building is easier thanks to Concrete Stairs and Slabs in all 16 colors. Along with that, this update brings 6 changes and 24 bug fixes.

Drop 3 2026

What was added and refined in the fall drop content:

• Abandoned Camp:
  • Chests in camps now contain Explorer Maps that lead to the Ancient City, Mineshaft, Desert Pyramid, Warm Ocean Ruins, and to Abandoned Camp variants from other biomes.
• Blocks:
  • Added Concrete Stairs and Slabs in all 16 colors.
  • Poplar Leaves can now be smelted into leaf litter.
• Cushion:
  • Players are no longer pulled into the ground when a Cushion they're sitting on is destroyed by removing its supporting block.
  • A Cushion now breaks if the block below it is replaced with a liquid.
  • Breaking a named Cushion no longer drops the default item.
  • A name tag is now displayed on the Cushion.
  • Cushions now pop into an item when pushed by blocks.
  • Cushions now play breaking particles and a breaking sound when their supporting block is destroyed.
• Straw Bed:
  • The sleeping camera is no longer positioned too high above the player.
  • Fixed the bed's texture — removed floating and extra pixels that are never visible in-game.
  • Fixed the MERS texture so it no longer renders a single overly shiny pixel.
• Items:
  • All remaining poplar items are now listed between the Mangrove and Cherry items in the Creative inventory.

Changes

6 changes made. Here's the rundown:

• Maps:
  • The player map icon now shows rotation even outside the map bounds.
  • Explorer Maps now have new item icons to more clearly indicate where they lead.
• Character Creator:
  • Skins can now have names made up entirely of numbers.
• Realms:
  • Friend profiles now have a dedicated Realm join button when the Realm is available.
• User Interface:
  • Updated the Chat Settings UI to improve the readability of the "Chat Color" and "My Mentions Color" dropdowns.
  • Added wishlist pagination with gamepad bumper navigation, and dynamic grid row sizing for Marketplace wishlist cards.

Bug Fixes

24 bugs fixed. The highlights:

• Restored the previous growth speed of Sulfur Spikes and Pointed Dripstone after a recent change accidentally made them grow 25 times faster.
• Fixed Totem activation not synchronizing health when the final health equals the original value.
• Fixed players and mobs loading into a world at (0,0,0) and losing all their items after reloading.
• In-game models and textures now load correctly when the network connection changes while joining a world.
• Fixed the item in hand jittering with temporal anti-aliasing upscaling enabled.
• Fixed Spiders and Cave Spiders occasionally being slowed by Webs.
• Fixed mobs and players sometimes reloading with an inconsistent movement speed.
• Fixed a crash when retrieving network addresses on Android.
• Fixed CPU usage increasing after idling on the pause screen or the controller disconnected screen.
• Fixed some particles that crashed the game when run as commands.
• Fixed a bug that prevented TNT and Stonecutters from being quick-crafted in the Recipe Book.
• Fixed an "out of space" error when downloading large items regardless of available space.
• Fixed the Cheats toggle set to "Off" during world creation not resetting cheats to their default values.
• Improved inventory item tooltips.
