Minecraft 1.16.42 [Release]
The 1.16.42 update for Minecraft introduces PlayStation VR support on PS4, 4K resolution for PS4 Pro, and several bug fixes.
Changes
- Support for PlayStation VR has been added on PlayStation 4. A DualShock 4 wireless controller is required for VR play.
- 4K resolution support is now available for PlayStation 4 Pro.
- Center Cursor: Toggles whether the cursor is centered.
- Camera Movement: Allows choosing between “Snap”, “Classic”, “Wheel”, and “Snap Wheel” modes.
- Snap Angle: Adjusts the magnitude of each camera snap.
- Variable Snap Angle: Enables dynamic snap angle based on how far the right stick is pushed.
- Snap Sound: Toggles a sound effect whenever the camera direction changes.
- Movement: Select between “Linear” and “Classic” movement styles.
- Jump: Choose between “Linear” and “Classic” jump behavior.
- Immersive Mode Auto-Jump: Enables or disables auto-jump while in Immersive Mode.
- Head Steering: Pick “Follow Gaze” or “Follow Player Angle” for head tracking.
- Sticky Mining: Toggle between “Lock-On” and “Disabled” for mining.
- HUD Position: Choose “Drift” or “Fixed” for HUD placement.
- HUD Distance: Controls how far from the center of vision the HUD appears.

Fixed Bugs
- Trophy translations have been corrected for multiple languages.
- Minor bug and crash fixes were addressed.
