Minecraft 0.13.0 build 1 [Beta]

Minecraft v0.13.0 alpha build 1 beta brings a host of new features: redstone components, rabbits, desert temples, and various other additions and changes.

Additions

• General:
  • A message now appears when attempting to build above the world height limit of 127.
  • Options:
    • Added a GUI scale slider.
    • Added a toggle to disable multiplayer.
  • Particles:
    • Introduced the happyVillager particle.
    • Introduced the note particle.
• Blocks:
  • New redstone-related blocks:
    • Redstone dust.
    • Redstone lamps.
    • Redstone torches.
    • Levers.
    • Tripwire hooks and tripwire.
    • Daylight sensors (including inverted ones).
    • Stone and wooden pressure plates.
    • Gold and iron weighted pressure plates.
    • Stone and wooden buttons.
    • Detector rails.
    • Activator rails.
    • Trapped chests.
  • Added spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, and dark oak wooden doors.
  • Added iron trapdoors.
  • Added note blocks.
• Items:
  • Spawn egg: rabbit.
  • Food: raw rabbit, cooked rabbit, rabbit stew.
  • Rabbit hide.
• World generation:
  • Desert pyramids now generate in deserts.
• Creative inventory additions:
  • Iron doors are now available in the creative inventory.
• Mobs:
  • Rabbits introduced.
    • They are smaller in size.
    • They flee from players.
    • Can be instantly killed with a fully charged arrow.
    • Spawning is limited to forests.
    • They can destroy crops.
    • Previously added in Java Edition 1.8.

Changes

• General:
  • Options: the "Broadcast to LAN" setting can now only be changed from the main menu.
  • Graphics: light now properly radiates from beneath the Nether.
  • The unused Coral material has been removed.
  • Items can now be dragged and rearranged within the inventory (experimental).
  • The hotbar item count now appears at the bottom corner of the selected slot (for stackable items) using the Java Edition font.
  • Game data is now stored in JSON files.
  • Flowers grown from bone meal now vary according to the biome.

  

• Blocks:
  • Stonecutter:
    • Its crafting ability has been removed. Recipes previously requiring it now use the crafting table.
    • No longer obtainable in Survival; it remains only as a decorative block in Creative mode.
  • Redstone dust can now be placed on the ground.
  • String can now be placed.
  • Iron doors:
    • Now fully functional.
    • Can be crafted in Survival mode.
• Mobs:
  • Ghasts and slimes now spawn more frequently.
  • Skeletons will now flee from wolves.
• Non-mob entities:
  • Boats:
    • Now move slightly faster than sprinting speed.
    • Riding a boat no longer drains hunger.
    • Players can now use items and attack immediately after ceasing to row.
