Minecraft 0.3.3

Minecraft 0.3.3 Alpha on Android: added Bow and Flint, new mobs (Skeleton, Spider, Creeper), changed gameplay mechanics, and fixed many bugs.

  • Ranged weapon.

  • Sometimes drops from Gravel.
  • Used to craft Arrows.
• Skeleton
  • Hostile mob with a bow.
  • Drops: Bones (0–2) and Arrows (0–2).
• Spider
  • Can climb walls.
  • Neutral during the day, hostile at night.
  • Drops: String (0–2).
• Creeper
  • Does not spawn naturally yet.
  • Silently approaches and explodes.
  • Drops: Gunpowder (0–2).
• Arrows
  • Ammunition for Bows.
  • Crafted from Flint, Sticks, and Feathers.
• Bones
  • Can be turned into Bone Meal.
• Bone Meal
  • Speeds up Sapling growth into Trees.
  • Generates Flowers and Roses on grass.
• Chickens
  • Now drop Feathers.
• Tools
  • Durability of wooden tools increased to 60.
  • Swords lose 1 durability per hit.
  • Axes, Pickaxes, and Shovels — 2 durability.
  • Golden tools are no longer more durable than wooden ones.
• Gameplay
  • Items despawn after 5 minutes.
  • Overall brightness increased.
  • Added "bone-crack" sound after falling.
  • Minimum of 6 slots in the hotbar on all devices.
• Creative Inventory
  • Added: Bow, Clay, Snow Block, Oak, Spruce, and Birch Saplings.

Bug Fixes

Fixed 19 issues.

• Disabled fire spread (temporary fix for a bug).
• Fixed crafting recipes for Furnace and ore blocks.
• Torches can now be placed on Fences.
• Doors now require a Crafting Table to be crafted.
• Fixed crash related to the Furnace.
• Fixed bugs with Saplings and Leaves.
• Fixed bugs with Ladders and Slabs.
• Fixed sounds (Glass breaking, Cow damage).
• Fixed inverted animal textures.
• Fixed interface issues on iPad.
• Fixed multiplayer bugs (duplicate blocks).
