Minecraft 0.8.0 Alpha for Android — a major update with new blocks and items, improved graphics, gameplay changes, and numerous fixes.

Changes

• New wood types: spruce, birch, and jungle (planks, slabs, stairs).
• Coal block (crafted from 9 coal, used as fuel).
• New decorative blocks: carpets of all 16 colors, cobblestone and mossy cobblestone walls, hay bales, iron bars.
• Pumpkins and Jack-o’-lanterns.
• Rails and powered rails.
• Minecarts.
• Beetroots and beetroot seeds, carrots, potatoes, pumpkin seeds.
• Beetroot soup, baked potato, pumpkin pie.
• Redstone and redstone ore.
• Ferns, dead bushes, jungle leaves and logs.
• Sponges (no functionality yet).
• Each plank type can only be crafted from its respective wood.
