Minecraft 0.6.0

The test version Minecraft 0.6.0 alpha for Android includes many new blocks and items, changes to mechanics and interface, and a set of bug fixes.

• When the up button is held, left, right and down buttons fade out and diagonal left/right buttons become visible.
• The Nether reactor now generates the Nether spire with Netherrack instead of obsidian.
• The Nether reactor can now additionally generate Nether Quartz during its spawn cycle.
• Creative inventory additions include: Mossy Stone Bricks, Cracked Stone Bricks, Chiseled Sandstone, Smooth Sandstone, Nether Bricks, Netherrack, Sandstone stairs, Stone brick stairs, Nether brick stairs, Quartz stairs, Sandstone slab, Stone brick slab, Block of quartz, Pillar quartz block, Chiseled quartz block, Stonecutter and Sign.

Fixed Bugs

• Issue on tablets (first Galaxy Tab with Froyo 2.2 firmware): incorrect switching between Survival and Creative modes remains in this build.
• Doors, trapdoors and ladders now drop correctly in Survival when adjacent blocks are destroyed.
• Blocks placed where ice was now appear correctly in multiplayer.
• Drowning on water bug has been fixed.
• Other players can now see the hand shaking animation.
• Duplicate stone bricks in the creative menu have been fixed.
• Descriptions for Paintings and Glowstone have been added where missing.
• Watermelons no longer regrow nearly instantly after harvesting.
• Fixed the red background issue on the melon icon.
• Fixed melon seeds using the pumpkin seed sprite.
• Paintings no longer deflect arrows incorrectly.
• Fixed cactus not growing on sand near water.
• Fixed pictures breaking when charging the bow.
• Fixed melon stems producing 2–4 melons unexpectedly.
• Torches placed underwater now drop correctly.
• Paintings can now be destroyed with the L button on affected devices.
