Minecraft 0.9.5 Alpha release for Android adds new recipes, improves performance, and fixes numerous bugs.
Changes
- Mossy cobblestone can be crafted from a cobblestone and a vine.
- Diorite, andesite and granite can now be used to obtain stone bricks.
- Players placed at extreme heights due to a respawn bug are now returned to y=130.
- On Android, battery usage has been reduced by canceling rendering when the app is in the background.
- Players no longer get stuck on the "Locating Server" screen when the server is full.
- Animals no longer despawn.
- Performance has been improved.
- Increased FPS on older devices.

Fixed Bugs
- Glass panes stick to the edge of the world.
- Breaking a torch next to an open door closes the door.
- Baby animals look strange when running.
- Torch glitch.
- Rendering bug on distant objects.
- Underwater there are no particles and the sun and clouds are not visible.
- In some situations it is not possible to ignite many TNTs.
- Placed blocks turn into a different block (multiplayer).
- The description of the Nether reactor core is missing a period.
- The description of the light gray dye is wrong.
- The breaking animation slightly shakes.
- Infinite bonemeal in multiplayer.
- No beetroot in creative mode.
- After downloading maps and playing them, some maps could not be deleted; unclear if this happens only to some users.
- iOS in-game keyboard — RAM consumption issue.
- Sugar cane does not disappear.
