Minecraft 1.21.90.25

A new beta version of Minecraft 1.21.90.25 has been released for Android. This update adds a Saddle crafting recipe, new music tracks, and a new music disc — in total, the game received 35 changes and 15 fixes this week.

Changes

• Added crafting recipe for the Saddle: 3 Leather and 1 Iron Ingot.
• The recipe unlocks automatically when the player picks up Leather.
• In some loot chests, Saddles are replaced with 1–5 Leather:
  • Monster Room chests
  • Ancient City chests
  • Desert Pyramid chests
  • Jungle Pyramid chests
  • Stronghold Altar chests
• Saddles, Horse Armor, Harnesses, and Carpets can be removed from mobs using Shears.
• They cannot be removed if:
  • The mob has a rider.
  • The player is sneaking.
  • Using a Dispenser with Shears on mobs.
• Saddles cannot be removed from Ravagers with Shears.
• New music by Amos Roddy added to:

• Added new music disc “Tears” by Amos Roddy.
• The “Tears” disc can drop from a Ghast if killed by a deflected Fireball.
• Added temperature grading settings to color_grading for Vibrant Visuals:
  • Requires format version 1.21.90.
  • Supports:
    • enabled — true/false
    • type — white_balance or color_temperature
    • temperature — value in kelvin

• The Mooshroom spawn egg now has a unique color palette.
• Spore Blossoms destroyed by water now drop as items.
• Using Shears on a leashed Sheep now breaks the leash instead of shearing.
• Leash break distance is now measured from the centers of hitboxes instead of edges.
• Dried Ghast block sounds updated:
  • Steps, place, and fall sounds are now custom instead of wooden.
  • Ambient and break sounds made less “alive.”
  • Hit sound and event removed (block breaks instantly).
  • Grass block sounds for placing/breaking are louder.
• “Game is paused” text no longer goes out of bounds.
• Hotbar tooltip text now has a drop shadow for better readability.
• Brightness adjustment no longer breaks Creeper icon appearance in Vibrant Visuals.
• Default Text Background Opacity is now 60%.
• Locator Bar arrow icon angle now adjusts based on player FOV.
• Nether Fossil generation frequency now better matches Java Edition.

Fixes

• Fixed split-screen crash when a player destroyed a chest/book being viewed by another.
• Server resource downloads no longer hang if requested simultaneously by another device.
• Fixed resource pack error when switching between servers with different versions of the same pack.
• Sculk Vein block no longer looks tiny when held or framed.
• Dried Ghast block now blocks water instead of disappearing.
• End Gateway now teleports player slightly away from cliff edges if possible.
• Fixed leash locator offset when leashing mobs.
• Shadows in Vibrant Visuals now cast further at sunrise/sunset (angle reduced to 10°).
• Fixed issue with water not rendering behind clouds in Vibrant Visuals.
• Cold Cow now has correctly mirrored horn textures.
• Happy Ghast no longer spins rapidly when leashed to fences.
• Flying mobs no longer make footstep sounds near the ground.
• Happy Ghast correctly detects players on other mounts above.
• Happy Ghast detection range expanded: +1 block (X, Z), +2 blocks upward.
• Blocks in Minecarts now render with proper lighting.
