Agree that a strip of hunger adds almost no interest to survival. It is only necessary to eat something to make up for it. If you want to complicate your survival in Minecraft, then install mod Advanced Survival Rules, which adds thirst, frostbite, and temperature.

Now thirst will appear. If it drops to a minimum, then you will move slowly. To prevent this, drink water.

• Fill the flask with water
  
• Put the flask of water on the workbench or hold it in your hand to drink water
  
• To avoid thirst, heat water in the stove or on the fire

If it gets very hot, then you will start burning. To keep the temperature normal, do the following:

• Stand over a block of ice, snow or in water
  
• Use a fire resistance potion

If you spend time in the cold for a long time, you will get frostbite and damage. In order not to get frostbite, do the following:

• Stand closer to a fire or other source of heat
  
• Hold a torch, a lantern, or a bucket of lava in your hand
  
• Put on a leather armor
