The developers have released the Minecraft 1.21.120.25 Beta and Preview for Android, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, and iOS. This update introduces the new Realms Saves system, improves particle rendering with Vibrant Visuals, and fixes several issues related to interface, performance, and world saves.
Changes
Added the new Realms Saves system — an improved version of the previous backup system that allows storing your Realms worlds in the cloud.
- Automatic saves work similarly to the previous backup system.
- They are created at the end of each play session or every 30 minutes during gameplay.
- They are retained for a limited time according to the retention policy.
- They do not take up space in cloud storage.
- They are enabled by default.
- All previous backups will be converted into automatic saves.
- Manual saves are created by the Realm owner and count toward the allocated cloud storage space.
- They are retained as long as the Realm exists and are not automatically deleted.
- Realm owners can delete manual saves to free up space.
- Realms Plus subscriptions include 10 GB of storage, and Realms Core includes 5 GB for manual saves.
- Automatic saves can be converted into manual saves.
- Realms saves are now accessible through the Realms settings menu rather than the world settings menu.
- The save list now displays the world name and resource packs applied at the time of saving.
- This feature will gradually roll out to Preview players.
- On Windows, the game now launches in the last used window state (maximized, windowed, etc.).
- Improved IME handling — activation and text editing now behave correctly during text input.

Fixed Bugs
- Fixed a crash when using %.<number>s with a length longer than allowed.
Fixed a crash when using hotbar hotkeys while hovering over something that isn’t an inventory slot. - Contents of the Bundle are no longer deleted when placed in a container above a Hopper with all slots filled.
- Fixed missing window animations when minimizing or maximizing the game window on GDK PC.
- Mouse scrolling no longer registers when the game is unfocused.
- World data saved in previous PlayStation 5 versions now loads correctly.
- Hotbar hotkeys now also work when hovering over crafting output slots.
- When Vibrant Visuals are enabled, particles now receive proper ambient lighting regardless of the presence of the lighting component. Particles can be made emissive using emissive values via MERS.
